freelancer Jewellery Designer – 21K & 18K Gold

Role Overview

Aradous Jewellery is seeking a creative and technically skilled Jewellery Designer to develop original 21K and 18K gold collections for Bahrain and the wider Gulf market. The designer will turn concepts into detailed designs suitable for production, balancing appearance, comfort, gold weight, and cost.

Key Responsibilities

* Create original designs for rings, earrings, bracelets, bangles, necklaces, and matching sets.

* Develop everyday, occasion, and bridal collections that reflect Aradous Jewellery’s brand.

* Prepare hand sketches or digital illustrations showing front, side, and other necessary views.

* Specify dimensions, gold purity, target weight, finishes, and stone details where applicable.

* Design within agreed weight ranges, production budgets, and target selling prices.

* Coordinate with CAD designers, goldsmiths, and production teams to ensure accurate execution.

* Review CAD models and samples, recommending changes for appearance, durability, comfort, and manufacturing feasibility.

* Research jewellery trends and customer preferences in Bahrain and the Gulf.

* Maintain organised design records and meet agreed collection deadlines.

* Protect confidential designs and avoid copying other brands.

Qualifications and Experience

* Proven experience designing both 21K and 18K gold jewellery.

* A strong portfolio demonstrating original designs and examples of finished pieces.

* Experience designing for Gulf customers is strongly preferred.

* Understanding of jewellery construction, casting, handwork, stone setting, and finishing.

* Ability to balance creative ideas with gold weight and production requirements.

* Strong sketching or digital illustration skills.

* Knowledge of Rhino, MatrixGold, or similar CAD software is an advantage.

* A qualification in jewellery design or a related field is preferred.

* Good communication, attention to detail, and the ability to respond to feedback.
