Job Responsibilities
About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to perform formwork, framing, and general carpentry work for construction and marine projects. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with wooden and steel formwork, scaffolding, and general carpentry tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
Construct, erect, and dismantle wooden and steel formwork for concrete structures including columns, beams, walls, slabs, and foundations
Read and interpret construction drawings and shuttering plans
Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood, plywood, and timber materials
Install and align formwork to required dimensions and levels
Build scaffolding, falsework, and temporary structures as required
Perform rough and finished carpentry including framing, partitioning, and ceiling work
Repair and maintain formwork materials and tools
Work with carpenters, steel fixers, and other trades for integrated construction activities
Ensure all work meets project specifications and safety standards
Maintain tools and equipment in good condition
Follow all safety procedures including use of PPE, safe handling of tools, and working at height protocols
Participate in toolbox talks and daily safety briefings
Assist in loading, unloading, and organizing materials on site
