Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor specializing in ICT infrastructure, passive networking, and low-voltage (ELV) installations. In this role, you will manage project costs, material estimation, Bill of Quantities (BOQs), supplier procurement, and commercial contract evaluations to ensure technical projects are executed within budget and scope.

Key Responsibilities

• Cost Estimation & BOQ Preparation: Prepare accurate Bills of Quantities (BOQs), material take-offs, and cost breakdowns for IT infrastructure, structured cabling, server room builds, and enterprise hardware deployments.

• Tender & RFP Analysis: Evaluate client tender documents, RFP specifications, and scope of work to prepare realistic cost estimates and competitive commercial proposals.

• Subcontractor & Supplier Management: Obtain competitive quotes from hardware suppliers and cabling subcontractors, perform comparative analyses, and negotiate contract terms.

• Valuation & Variations: Process monthly payment applications, assess variation orders , track project expenditure, and certify valuations for client billing and vendor payments.

• Cost Control & Financial Reporting: Monitor ongoing project expenditures against initial baselines, track budget deviations, and report projected profit margins to project management leadership.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil/Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Experience: 5+ years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with proven exposure to ICT infrastructure, structured cabling, ELV systems, or MEP technical projects in Bahrain or the GCC.

• Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in reading technical floor plans, cabling schematics, and single-line diagrams; skilled in MS Excel and cost estimation software.

• Contract Knowledge: Familiarity with standard GCC construction/IT contract terms, variation claim procedures, and valuation certifications.

• Location: Based in Bahrain. Local ICT and MEP market exposure is preferred.

• Valid Driving license
