Job Opening: R&D Engineer (Remote)
Industry: Construction Chemicals / Protective Coatings / Waterproofing
Location: Remote (Supporting Product Development for KSA Market)

We are seeking an R&D Engineer with experience in construction chemicals to support the development, testing, and optimization of products including waterproofing systems, protective coatings, repair materials, and industrial flooring solutions.

This is a remote-based role, focused on formulation support, documentation, and coordination with technical and production teams.

Key Responsibilities
Support the development and improvement of:
Waterproofing systems
Protective coatings
Repair mortars and grouts
Industrial flooring systems

Review product performance and recommend formulation improvements based on project and market requirements

Prepare and manage technical documentation, including:
Technical Data Sheets (TDS)
Safety Data Sheets (SDS)
Product specifications and compliance documents
Ensure products meet relevant standards (ASTM / BS EN / ISO)

Coordinate with:
Technical team for product feedback
Sales team for market requirements
Production team for scale-up and consistency

Analyze competitor products and support benchmarking activities

Provide technical input for troubleshooting product-related issues

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in:
Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Engineering, or related field

2–4 years of experience in:
Construction chemicals
Coatings / waterproofing / cementitious systems

Strong knowledge of:
Formulation concepts (cementitious, polymer-modified systems, coatings)
Raw materials used in construction chemicals
Product testing and performance evaluation

Familiarity with:
ASTM / BS EN / ISO standards
Technical documentation and compliance
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
Good communication and coordination skills for remote collaboration

Nice to Have (Optional)
Experience in lab testing or product formulation
Knowledge of admixtures, epoxy/polyurethane systems
Experience working with GCC market requirements
