Job Responsibilities
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Generator Mechanic responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of diesel and petrol generators. The candidate must have basic to good English communication skills and follow company reporting procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
>Perform routine inspection, servicing, and preventive maintenance of generators
>Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults in generators
>Conduct load testing and ensure generators operate efficiently and safely
>Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records
>Coordinate with supervisors and site teams for job assignments
>Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies
>Respond to breakdowns and emergency repair calls when required
Reporting Process:
>Report directly to the Maintenance Supervisor / Site Engineer
>Submit daily and weekly work reports in English
>Immediately report any major faults, safety issues, or spare part requirements
>Update maintenance logs and service checklists after each job
Requirements:
>Proven experience as a Generator Mechanic
>Knowledge of diesel and petrol generators
>Ability to read and understand technical manuals
>Basic to good English communication skills (mandatory)
>Ability to prepare simple reports and maintenance logs
>Physically fit and willing to work at sites and yards
Work Location:
Yard / Project Sites (as assigned)
